Right now, in the writing arena of my life alone, I have to polish a very old manuscript for pitching at a conference coming up. I also need to finish my current wip, and I’ve been slow-cooking an idea for a story that keeps asking for more seasoning (brain power). I’m really feeling quite frazzled by it all, and wondering just how God intends for me to juggle these three boulders all at once, while keeping all my non-writing priorities in check at the same time.
Prayers would be greatly appreciated, as I struggle for guidance and answers. If you have a prayer request, too, I’m listening. Perhaps we can pray for each other.

LOL I hear you! I'll def. send a prayer up for you. Also, maybe you could pray for my three year old. He woke up from his nap yesterday with a high fever.
Sounds like God is trying to stretch you right now! I'll pray that God will help you to grow in your capacity to handle all that he gives you. I would love your prayer for the same. I'm trying to finish up my WIP and trying to get three chapters a week to the lady doing my edits. It's been a struggle to keep up. Thanks, Eileen! You're a blessing!
Best wishes for all that's on your writing plate! I just noticed - how did you get the "thanks for leaving a comment. I value your input!" below the "Leave your comment" section? I like that. :)
Jessica, I'm praying for your little one. I hope his fever breaks soon. I well remember all the worry that goes with our little one's illnesses. It's difficult for sure! I'll pray for you to discover calm, too.
Jody, I feel your pain. With such a large family, you must feel overwhelmed at times. When you see your book in print, though, you'll know it was worth all the effort. I'm praying for you friend!
Hi, Katie, I had to go back and check out how I did that. It's been so long. Here goes.
Select Customize option.
Select the Settings option.
Then select the Comments option under it.
Within this Comments option at the very bottom you'll see a rectangle labelled "Comment From Message". That's where you type in your chosen comment. Then save everything.
Hope that helps. If not, let me know, and maybe I can explain differently.
I hope you have a great day!
definitely will be praying for you with everything you've got going on! return the favor and pray for me as i get my family ready to move in 2 weeks!
Jeannie, I pray for a very smooth transition for you and your family. May you be blessed by this move in ways you had no idea about. Thanks for praying for me, too!
Eileen, I understand the pressure of feeling overwhelmed with juggling so many projects. I'll definitely keep you in my prayers, asking for peace and guidance and understanding. That would be so wonderful if you would pray for me as well, particularly for guidance on marketing. Thank you!
Cindy, I've lifted my prayer for you today and will continue doing so. And thank you for adding me to yours as well.
I finally found your blog! Forgive me for not searching sooner!
The entire month of April overwhelmed me. I tried to fit everything and the kitchen sink in on top of my family priorities. Why did I do this? Who knows!
Anyway, I made some changes, but even this weekend I felt frazzled by my endless to-do list.
When I get like that, I take a long walk and listen. I believe God gives us the answers.
I have to constantly remind myself that my career is not a race. And when someone else grabs the golden ring? I combat any competitive feelings with the mantra "that's her journey, not mine."
Thanks for sharing your struggle, Eileen, because I completely relate!
I hear you. Sometimes I feel like I have too full a plate, too. But it's very freeing to remember that there isn't always time to do what's on everyone else's "to do" list but there IS time for you to everything on God's "to do" list. :)
God bless!
Jill, welcome! I'm glad you found me. Sounds like you and I could use similar prayers. I hope peace finds you, too, with all that's on your plate.
Jennifer, that is the key, isn't it. Now I just have to figure out what is His will so that I can let go of everything else. Blessings for you, too, Jennifer. Thanks for stopping by!
On different writing projects ... I read recently that we should write for at least 5 minutes at a time on a project. If you are working in the yard, cooking, polishing the car, etc., and get an idea, go type for 5 minutes. It is a break from the routine, it puts your ideas on paper, and it is working toward a goal. I do that, but can rarely keep it to just 5 minutes. Note: I linked here from Jessica's blog.
