WIP = Work In Progress
Seriously, would you define yourself as a WIP?
At age forty-three, I believe I am, and I think God likes me this way. He may be getting impatient with the slowness of my progress, however, but still, I believe He's rooting for me to become all He desires me to be. And I have a feeling I'll die somewhere in the process of trying to achieve His goals for me. I just hope He'll take me for my effort in trying to succeed, at least.
Life is full of learning experiences. Knowledge is next to Godliness, as they say, and with each new ounce of knowledge that sinks in, I am forever changed. So I say being a WIP is a good thing. What about you?
Surrendering to Him,
Eileen

Oh Eileen, I could have written this post! I always feel I have soooo much to learn about life. I fall short so often and am just thankful God is still waiting before me with open arms, urging me on toward Him.
I totally agree and love being a WIP! :-) Makes me think of the verse, "He who began a good work in you will perfect it..." I know that's not the whole verse but it pretty much reminds me that I'm still being molded, every day. :-) Nice post!
"...he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6 from the NIV Bible.
Thanks for reminding me of this verse, Jessica. Very appropriate, indeed.
Sherrinda, that's why I hang out in cyber space with you. We're a lot a like, I believe.
I wish I was further along too! I wonder what God's "Current WIP Tracker" on me looks like! How slow my progress must be to him. I'm just grateful for his patience and grace.
Jody, me too. I'm sure a turtle could progress faster than me. I'm now hanging onto Jessica's verse. God willing, He will see me to completion some day.
Yikes! I am so thankful God doesn't display a WIP Tracker on me for all to see! How embarrassing that would be! lol
Eileen, I do think we are alot alike! ;)
