Being Flexible

Okay, I'm deferring the professional looking posts post due to technical difficulties. I had a couple links saved in an email to refer to for this post and now email is down for me.

But if anyone knows how to upload snapshots of screens in their original rectangular form, I'd be interested. That's something I'm still trying to figure out, among many others. When I do get that post up (hopefully on Monday) it'll be more interactive than anything because I have soooo much to learn.

On an aside. My body aches.

Seriously, I love looking at gardens, enjoying all the different flowers, but man, I could do without all the work it takes to buff the gardens each year. I got a late start and now am pulling half of my foliage out to be able to see the little gems hidden beneath the overgrown monster flowers. And I haven't even got to my largest garden yet.

I'll be tackling this one over the weekend and throughout next week, I suspect. It'll look a little different as this pic was taken last fall, so some of these flowers are just starting to awaken. I'll try to take a pic when I'm done and post.

In fact, I think we should have a garden blog party once I complete my gardens. Yeah, I really like that idea. Motivates me to get mine all done. Care to join me? If your gardens are buffed and ready start taking pictures for a future garden party in cyber space. I'll be bringing fresh squeezed old-fashioned lemonade to share.

Surrendering to Him,

Eileen

Wow. I'm in awe that you like to garden that thing! LOL I can't wait to see other pics.

Wow! When you were talking about weeding your garden, you were talking about WEEDING YOUR GARDEN!!! My little veggie garden really pales in comparison! :)

Oh my goodness! No wonder you can't move today! That is a beautiful garden! Someday I hope to have the time to create beauty like that. Since I knew I would be moving soon, I did not do any gardening this year. Can I still party with you guys?

Wow, that's amazing. I'm excited to see your pics when you're finished. I sooo wish I had the gift for gardening. My hub teases me about my black thumb. Maybe someday....

Holy cow udders! That's AMAZING! You sure do have one green thumb girl! That looks like a botanical garden center. A place where a woman in a white gown might walk down the aisle. Gorgeous!

Jessica, you crack me up--"that thing?" I could almost take offense, but since my shoulder aches so much I haven't the energy. Honestly, it's not the gardening that I like at all, it's getting to look at it in the quiet moments of the day and night and that I love.

Jody, you don't want to see the mess of my little vege garden. It's so very sad. Two rows of beans and one tomatoe plant this year and whole lot of weeds that need major tugging. But that will have to wait until the flower beds are in order.

Sherrinda, sure you can join the garden party. I'm thinking pictures of even a flower basket or a close-up of a single flower would be welcome in our cyber garden tour, and of course for whatever treat/refreshment you bring, you must provide the recipe!

I hope we'll get lots of participants. I'm thinking in a couple weeks my gardens will be ready for public viewing. I do have to write too!

Georgiana, so here's what you do, you go out and buy a little plant, indoor or outdoor. Take a close-up picture of it and that's your contribution to the cyber garden tour. But don't post it until the party begins.

P.S. I don't have near the green thumb my mom and dad have, but it's slowly getting greener.

Katie, it must look much longer to you than it actually is. I'll have to measure the stone walk and let you know. But wouldn't that be awesome if one of my girls did want pics taken in this garden on their wedding day? Wow, that would be quite the honour.

And I was complaining about my little flower beds! Good luck getting it all done this weekend. Don't work too hard!

Wooooo, girl, that is a lotta garden! Do you pray while you pull weeds?

This is exactly why I only planted a few tomatoes this year. I love looking at the flowers and eating the veggies, but the work is ODIOUS!!!

I admire your diligence, Eileeen. May the Lord honor you for it,
Jen

Wow-- what an awesome garden! I thought it was a picture in France or something at first. Soooo nice. I don't even go out in mine anymore--too hot--too many snakes and bugs and husband seems to like it.

LOL! Definitely don't take offense. :-) Your garden is amazing and gorgeous. And very intimidating! I hope your body heals up quickly. :-)

Your garden's beautiful! Someday I'm going to have a magnificent cutting garden. I do have shasta daisies, black-eyed susans, and deep purple dahlias now, but I'd like to add roses and a slew of others.

It is a lot of work. I sympathize with your creaking back! Thanks for sharing your pics with us!

That is a beautiful garden. And man, are they HARD WORK. I have a small plot of flowers that is blooming like crazy in spite of my neglect this spring and early summer.

Wow, that's a beautiful garden. I love mine but I am glad it's so small. I can't imagine doing all that!

Your garden looks lovely, Eileen. I could really use some tips on ours - we are not gardeners by any means, and I hate weeding!! Come on over and I'll supply the lemonade!

I, too, love flower gardens. Since I've had 3 back surgeries and still have complications, I find it a great treat to be able to go out and putter in the garden, even pulling weeds! I love to drive around and look at others flower gardens and landscaping for better ideas. Your garden looks pretty.
