Time to Start Over!

Soul searching has led me here. I gave writing a rest for the most part this past year in order to accomplish: 1) House renovations.

2) To find Donner (Donner is our 1400 lb equine friend, sports partner to my girls, and family member now. He arrived on Dec. 18, 2010 after five long months of searching!)

and 3)Plan, implement, and thoroughly enjoy a family vacation of a lifetime in Maui.

With those all accomplished, it's now time to lift my writing to its once again rightful place on my priority list. That being a true third in command without so many extra time-consuming sub-priorities under Family anymore. God first, Family second, Writing third. As such, I find myself in need once more of a critique group.

Not only are critique partners wonderful with helping you improve your writing, but they help you keep on track with your writing goals, too. So, anyone know of someone who writes inspirational romances, is in want of a critique partner, serious about learning the writing craft, and is willing to do a trial time with me to see if we're a good fit? If so, please do let me know.

I'm praying over this post!

Till next time, may blessings wrap around you, and write on...

Surrendering to Him, Eileen

I've had a recent hiatus myself (move, arm injury and then homeschooling problems). My critique partner has been patient with me and I look forward to having something good to bring to the conference this year. I'll pray you find just the right people.

Welcome back Eileen! I agree that critique partners are my cure all for growing in my craft.

I will be praying that God send the right people to your path!

I so appreciate the prayers, ladies!! Thank You!

I know that in God's good timing the perfect critique partner or two will come my way and I to them. I'm putting my efforts this next year into finishing my five book series so that hopefully in 2012 I'll be raring to go to try and sell it. Again, if it's God's will, I know it will happen if an when He wants it to.

I admire your break from writing, Eileen! Not so much for the time away, but for the fresh perspective and ready-to-go energy you most certainly have. Best to you!

Love the name Donner, by the way. :)

Oh, my, I see I need to brush up on my blog post skills. Getting the right allignment isn't coming easily anymore.

Janna, our big boy came with the name Donnerell, so the girls shortened it for the barn to Donner. Kind of appropriate since he arrived just before Christmas for us!

Welcome back to blogging, and to writing. It sounds like the past year has left you with some amazing experiences you can maybe bring to the page?

Nice to see you back and that your desire to write is just as strong as ever. Hoping you'll find the perfect critters.

Good luck back in the writing world. I've decided to dedicate my summer to it. We'll see. Also, I don't know anyone in your genre, although my book club did read a book by Kelly Long. Not my cup of tea - I need a little more smut - but you might google her and see if you can find any connections there. Good luck.

Yeah Eileen! :) Glad you're back to the writing pad and ready to go. Although your sabbatical year sounds like it was fulfilling and wonderful.

Welcome back, Eileen! I've missed you and your posts!

I don't exclusively write Christian romance, but if you wanted to get together for mutual critique, I'd be interested in meeting with you :)
