Definitely Not a Good Start, But there's Hope!

Okay, so 2010 is proving difficult to get into for me. My mind is jammed with wanna-do's and organizational how-to's and baking ideas and lots of guilt because nothing seems to be getting done. I just keep spinning in sphericals. (Oops, sorry, trying not to be cliche. Oh, well, it's an attempt at least.)

Anyway, I got news of a contest that might just help me get my writing mode back into play. What better way than to win a critique from an impartial, educated duo in fictional writing. Here's the link to check it out yourself. Good luck, everyone!

Surrendering to Him,

Eileen

Hi Eileen,

Sorry you're having trouble getting organized.

I'm having trouble staying healthy. LOL. My family has brought home another round of viruses. Plus my white cat is back at the vet's again.

Like you, I have hope that I'll get things smoothed out and get on track before too long!

TTYS,
Sue

Good luck Eileen! Looks like a fun competition, and how inspiring is that, to have their critique to motivate the winners? Best wishes ...

I do know that feeling but just this morning, FINALLY wrote some and it feels great. I will check out the contest. Stay warm up there!

Spinning in sphericals is catchy. It just might be the next running in circles. *grin* Good luck getting everything done that you want to. I hope you do!

I'm spinning right along with you. I'm hoping things calm down in the next few days.

Don't beat yourself up I think we all are reeling a bit. After holiday glumness for me, I feel it slipping away like fog, thankfully.

I did sign up for the contest. I'm uber excited!

Never fear, you'll get the momentum going again.

I'm up to my neck in research and keep reminding myself it's necessary. Good preparation will make for faster edits.

Blessings,
Susan :)

If we had endless energy and more time in a day, would it make a diffence? Sometimes I wonder. :)

Oops...that was supposed to be "difference" :)

Transitioning into a new year is tough. It's that whole two thousand ten, 20-10 debate that's got me. ;)

You'll find your groove, Eileen! I know you will!

Blessings!

I know how you feel! The more things I think of that I need to do, the less that seems to get done. I need to get on the ball! I'll check out that contest.

Hey, thanks I will check it out.

Same problems here! Must be universal. Hope the contest helps.

How is it coming with Roaring Lions?

You aren't the only one struggling to get a move on it in 2010. I'm just now starting to get back into a routine. Thanks for the link.

My family started the new year sick. There go all the diet and exercise resolutions I made! Because it is really hard to prepare three healthy meals a day with a sick one-year-old who screams if she is put down! So I find myself standing in the pantry eating whatever carb aI can stuff in my mouth in five seconds. Ugh. I hope things fall into place for you soon!

Anyhow, thanks so much for posting about the contest. You're a doll!

Wow, sounds like a great contest. Good luck.
Sometimes good feedback is all we need to get the juices flowing again. :)

Oh Eileen, I know what you mean! Sometimes I think the time off over vacation sort of plugs things up. I do hope you get your groove back soon :D

Ooooh, that's a great contest... and a great way to get a jump on the new year. Though it makes me think that I haven't written anything in a while so have nothing to critique. Obviously I need to make some goals here too! :) Good luck!
